The cushions all fit perfectly and the interior of the church has been totally transformed.
This church is used every Sunday, but on alternate months throughout the year, so we are back together in St Nicholas from this Sunday, 2nd July for five Sundays and the congregation will see (and use) the latest cushions for the first time this weekend.
I will take several photographs of the church interior during July and forward them to you as requested.
The chancel area, for which you provided 8 single cushions, looks particularly impressive, but there is a real continuity of colour and texture throughout the church - and of course up to 250 people can now sit in comfort for the first time in 832 years! The church was founded by the Normans in 1185 AD.
The existing seating was re-furbished about 80 years ago but the hard wooden pews were mostly left without any cushions.
We now have an enhanced and comfortable church interior which will be appreciated for many years to come.

"The large delivery of pew cushions arrived safely and to time last Wednesday and they were installed by the end of Thursday, well in time for the morning worship on the first Sunday in Advent, as we had hoped.
